In St. Petersburg, compensation for the camp is provided to parents (legal representatives) who work under an employment contract or contract through the provision of a certificate for payment of part of the cost of a trip to organize recreation for children and youth and their health, with the exception of day camps - for school-age children from 6 years 6 months (or those who have not reached the specified age, but are enrolled in educational organizations to study educational programs of primary general education) up to 15 years inclusive, living in St. Petersburg.

Children belonging to the categories of persons listed above (with the exception of orphans, children without parental care and disabled children) are entitled to free trips to children's camps and compensation for the cost of trips when paying for them themselves only if the parents have issued a monthly child benefit. This is stated in the text of Moscow Law No. 67 of November 3, 2004. If a family wishes to independently organize a child’s vacation, parents can issue a certificate intended to receive compensation in the amount of 30,000 rubles .
