Summer is ahead, and many parents are concerned about where their children will spend the summer. Free trips to summer camps for Moscow children in 2019 were already issued to 34 thousand schoolchildren. We are talking about preferential categories of citizens who submitted applications before March 10.
In 2018, these applications began to be accepted in advance so that everyone could collect the necessary documents and submit an application on time.
Attention! An application for discounted vouchers and compensation for independently organizing children's holidays for the summer of 2020 can be submitted from November 4 to December 12, 2019! Deadlines may vary. Check the information on the website.
We remind you that now is the time to check the queue for kindergarten if you have registered your child in kindergarten, because groups will also be formed in advance. You can also find out what payments are due for a child in 2019.
According to Vladimir Filippov, who is the deputy head of the Department of Culture, this year 44% of children in preferential categories will go to free camps. Parents were able to save on booking trips because they did it in advance. And, of course, it’s encouraging that 97% of all trips were received online, thanks to the mos.ru service

Where will children go on free trips?
In 2019, children who received preferential vouchers will be able to go to summer health camps in the Moscow region, the Azov and Black Seas, the Volga region, various regions of the Russian Federation, Belarus, Mineralnye Vody and the Caucasus.
There are camps that have gone through a full security system and are tested in three stages. In addition, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be involved in ensuring security.
Report of the Moscow Government on planning free holidays for children in 2019
More than one hundred thousand children had the opportunity to relax during the summer holidays, thanks to the care of the Moscow Government.
Here are statistics that will help you see this concern:
- 34,110 children were given free vouchers to children's camps, sanatoriums, and rest homes;
- 19,410 children - certificates were issued for the opportunity to independently organize children's recreation;
- 44,000 schoolchildren will relax in health camps from the Federation of Trade Unions of Moscow;
- 8,000 young athletes will have the opportunity to train at summer camps;
- 3,000 families - compensation will be issued for independently organizing children's recreation.
Who will accompany the children during the trip to summer camp?
Many parents are worried and ask the same questions: “Is it safe to send children alone to summer camp?”, “Who will be responsible for their behavior and health?”, “Is it possible to accompany the child and go to camp with him?”
The children will be accompanied by university and college students specially trained at the Central School of Moscow counselors. They are taught lessons that will help them cope even with difficult teenagers and children from orphanages. Counselors learn techniques for playing games, entertaining activities, the difficulties of adolescence, and gain communication skills with children of different ages.
If children need accompanying persons for health reasons, then parents or guardians will be able to go with them.
What documents are needed to apply for a free children's holiday?
- You can familiarize yourself with the list of required documents and submit an application yourself through the mos.ru portal
- If you didn't have time to do this this year, don't be upset, just prepare all the documents in advance to send an application for children's summer camp in 2019.
Preferential categories of children who are entitled to receive free vouchers to summer camps
Check if your child is eligible for benefits:
What to do for those who cannot leave Moscow
Of course, not everyone received vouchers. Some did not have time to submit an application, others are not entitled to benefits.
But the children, whose parents will not be able to take them out on summer vacation or send them to summer camps in 2019 on their own, will still not be left without attention.
It is necessary to take care of organizing children's recreation now, and for this there is an extensive free program “Moscow Shift”
Children from 7 to 14 years old will be able to take part in it and will be able to attend the following institutions;
- 28 sports schools in Moscow;
- 132 secondary schools have prepared sites for summer recreation;
- 87 social institutions organize groups for children.
All these institutions are waiting for your children and you need to sign up as early as possible so as not to miss this opportunity. All institutions will receive children from 9 am to 7 pm on weekdays, which will give parents the opportunity to calmly leave and come home from work, without worrying about whether the child has eaten, whether something has happened to him, or whether he has gotten in touch with bad company.
How children's holidays for Moscow schoolchildren will be organized
Summer day camps will provide three meals a day, planned excursions, trips to museums and cinemas. Such an organized vacation will allow your children not to hang out on the street all day, but to find new friends, learn about and visit many interesting places in the capital.
The Moscow Shift program plans to organize a lot of events, including:
- master classes on various topics;
- sports competitions;
- excursions to interesting places;
- visiting museums, the zoo, the Darwin Museum, the Moscow Kremlin, the planetarium;
- the guys will be taken to Yuri Kuklachev’s cat art, to Moskvarium;
- They will conduct classes where children will learn to solve problems;
- They will organize competitions, quizzes, and entertaining lessons.
As you can see, the summer camp program is really extensive, and it will certainly be much more beneficial for children to spend their summer holidays in the company of similar schoolchildren under the supervision of experienced teachers than in the yard or in an apartment. Every day at the summer camp will be full of interesting events and will be remembered by the children for a long time!
When will registration of children for summer school camps in Moscow begin?
Registration for the first shift begins on May 25, 2019. Don't miss the beginning, because there will be a lot of people interested.
Children's summer camps in Moscow in 2019 will be open an hour longer than in the past - from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. In some camps, check-in will begin as early as May 31.
All parents will be able to follow the schedule on social networks. A special shift diary will allow you to monitor the events taking place in the camps online.

13 children's camps for those who stay in the city for the summer
On the eve of the longest holidays, many parents are looking for something to keep their child occupied while they are at work - preferably so that he eats, doesn’t break anything, doesn’t climb anywhere, and spends time not only having fun, but also usefully.
One good solution is a summer city camp near work or home.
The Village has selected children's programs for this summer, where children can improve their conversational Spanish or French, learn dramatic art from Moscow theater actors, visit a mobile planetarium, learn how to make cupcakes and even archery.
City language camp from the Everyday English project, where children are completely immersed in a language environment: only English can be spoken in the camp.
The child’s progress in oral speech is recorded without fail: teachers record videos on the first and last days of the camp to show parents how different the children’s spoken language is before and after.
Classes with native speakers alternate with sports and creative activities: in terms of activities - swimming three times a week with a professional trainer at a local fitness club, football and dramatic art.

The Smiley Club works with children using the Montessori method: teachers believe that every child strives for development from birth, so children are not forced to study and are treated with respect and in a friendly manner.
For each day of the camp, the organizers prepared thematic activities, creative workshops and sports events.
For example, the Zoological Museum with reptiles, or a mobile planetarium, or ballerinas of the Moscow theater will come to visit “Smiley” - the list is long and varied, because they try to introduce children to a variety of activities: from painting to paleontology and robotics.

Free city camp for summer 2019 in Moscow
The recent project “Moscow Shift” allows you to attend the city camp for the summer of 2019 in Moscow for free, thanks to this program, children who stayed in the city in the summer have the opportunity to relax and meet new people. In 2019, at the beginning of June, recreation centers for children are opened in the capital - located in schools, sports centers and social protection institutions.
In 2016, with the support of United Russia, a free recreation program for children called “Moscow Shift” was organized in the capital, and will also be continued from next year, taking into account the positive experience and feedback of participants and vacationers.
How is your vacation going?
“Moscow Shift” next year will take place in approximately 300 institutions in Moscow and the region: in 132 school institutions, in 35 sports sections, in 150 at the bases of the Department of Social Protection of Citizens.
The city camp provides for feeding children three times, medical care in each of the bases. Such institutions begin their work from 9:00 to 18:00 Moscow time. Teachers are on duty around the clock every day in case parents pick up their child late.
As noted by the Deputy Head of the Department of Education in Moscow, during the holidays events are planned that are dedicated to memorable days that have gone down in the history of the state and the city.
One of the days is dedicated to patriotic awareness: schoolchildren are sent to places of former glory, films about the great victory are shown.
In sports sections, according to the “Moscow Shift” project, there are acquaintances with famous athletes, various competitions and demonstration performances, test tasks of the normative complex “Readiness for Labor and Defense”, many excursions, this includes a trip to a sports facility, for example, in Luzhniki . Schoolchildren relaxing at school bases visit Moscow exhibitions, cinemas, children's galleries and go to nature; these are more than 100 sites.
One person visits about 2-3 sites during one shift. During excursions, attention is focused on the creativity and major orientation of schoolchildren.
When planning cultural recreation for children, the main priority is observed - each child is given the chance to visit different institutions: entertainment centers, theaters, museums and others.
Also, detachments will be held and recruited for schoolchildren with pathologies and psychological disorders.
They will be distributed to special rehabilitation centers located within the city. In this case, highly qualified psychologists, medical workers, and teachers will work with children.
Project information
The concept of this free camp has been submitted for public discussion. The party did a tremendous amount of work with the townspeople: about 370,000 mothers and fathers of the capital’s children took part in drawing up the terms of the project. Wherein:
- held more than 300 conversations with city residents, more than 30 thousand people came to the meeting;
- approximately 15,000 permits to support the project were collected by volunteer participants;
- About 370,000 mothers and fathers of capital children took part in drawing up the terms of the project. Of these, 94% were in favor of the decision;
- more than 37 thousand people signed the petition on the official website.
“Moscow Shift” is suitable for every metropolitan schoolchild aged from first grade to 14 years old.
For all institutions next year it is expected that 70 thousand people will work. And the entire vacation is absolutely free. The institution is open seven days a week.
Previously, all vouchers to private camps were paid and provided only
- orphans;
- victims of terrorist attacks;
- low-income children from large families with disabilities;
- with serious psychological pathologies;
- refugees and internally displaced persons;
- those who find themselves in extreme conditions;
- those who have been subjected to violence;
- if a child was injured as a result of man-made disasters or natural phenomena, this applies to floods and destruction;
- if one of the child’s parents is a military serviceman and, while performing public duty, was killed or seriously injured;
