How to send your child to summer camp in Moscow for free

The Moscow Shift program for free recreation for schoolchildren will accept children from 7 to 14 years old in 247 day care centers.

These are 132 schools, 28 sports schools and 87 social institutions. One or two centers will appear in each district of the city.

The Moscow Shift camps are set up like this. The child is under the supervision of teachers from 09:00 to 19:00. All this time is scheduled in minutes. One of the days is dedicated to patriotic awareness: schoolchildren are sent to places of former glory, films about the great victory are shown.

They will be distributed to special rehabilitation centers located within the city. In this case, highly qualified psychologists, medical workers, and teachers will work with children.

The concept of this free camp has been submitted for public discussion. The party did a tremendous amount of work with the townspeople: about 370,000 mothers and fathers of the capital’s children took part in drawing up the terms of the project. Wherein:

The organizers and students of the Moscow Shift program are confident that it is not necessary to go to distant lands for adventure; they know exactly what is necessary to make children’s summer holidays comfortable, unforgettable, fun and useful.

Every summer, the Orekhovo shopping center invites children aged 7 to 14 years to the Moscow Shift children's camp.

This is a free active recreation program for schoolchildren from 7 to 14 years old who are registered at their place of residence or stay in Moscow. Sample applications are posted on the websites of institutions where city summer camps will operate.

An application for enrollment of a child must be submitted no earlier than 10 working days and no later than 3 working days before the start of the shift.

• Along with the application to enroll a child in the Moscow Shift summer camps, you must bring:
  • an identification document of the parent or other legal representative of the child, as well as a document confirming the authority of the legal representative;
  • child's birth certificate;
  • medical certificate in form 079/у (issued at the children's clinic to which the child is assigned);
  • certificate of no contact with infectious patients (issued at the children's clinic to which the child is assigned);
• • health insurance policy (if available).
• In addition, parents must sign consent for field trips, and also, if the child returns home from camp unattended, consent to the student’s daily independent care after the end of the shift.

In total, the camp has three thematic shifts that begin on the first working day of the corresponding summer month. The duration of each shift is at least 21 calendar days. On weekdays the camp is open from 09:00 to 19:00.

During the holidays, children are provided with 3 free meals a day (breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack). The menu for a specific day can be viewed in the dining room on the notice board or on the website of the institution where the camp is located. Psychologists and a nurse are on duty at the camp.

Each of the three shifts is dedicated to a particular topic. To make children’s stay in the camp varied, interesting and educational, the Orekhovo TCSO cooperates with many cultural, sports and educational institutions in the area.

During the “Moscow Shift”, children participate in sports, recreational, cultural, educational, patriotic, environmental events and activities. For example, for Children's Day, Russia Day, Day of Memory and Sorrow, City Day.

The camp hosts intellectual tournaments and tourist rallies, sports competitions, hikes, excursions around Moscow, theater festivals, interesting events, photo competitions, meetings with actors and writers. Together with experienced teachers, children work on creating videos and play KVN.
