Students of the capital's universities, especially first-year students, are often interested in how much it costs to travel on the metro using a student's social card, how to top it up, and what to do if the “ticket is faulty”? The social card, among other features, replaces Troika and one-time tickets when passing turnstiles, providing almost unlimited monthly subway travel with a one-time replenishment. A reasonable upper limit is set at 10 trips per day. Reuse is possible after 7 minutes.
When issuing your travel card, you will receive instructions for use and a four-digit PIN code for working with your bank account. Activation will occur immediately after replenishment at any metro ticket office or in another way.
Please note: if you make several passes at one station in a row, a block will occur.

Residents of Krasnogorsk are looking forward to the launch of a new mode of transport for Moscow and the Moscow region - the MCD. A line of the second diameter will pass through the territory of the city district - Nakhabino - Podolsk.
The launch is expected at the end of November this year, and residents have questions related to travel conditions on MCD-2.
A RIAMO in Krasnogorsk correspondent found out how much travel on the MCD will cost and what benefits passengers will be able to take advantage of.
See details about the MCD project here>>
MCD-2 in numbers
Press service of the complex of urban planning policy and capital construction
Moscow Central Diameters is the largest transport project in Moscow and the region, which unites metro and commuter trains into a single network. As reported on the website of the mayor of Moscow, MCD-1 Odintsovo - Lobnya and MCD-2 Nakhabino - Podolsk will open for passengers at the end of November.
From the Nakhabino station in the Riga direction to Podolsk in the Kursk direction of the Russian Railways, the diameter will include 38 stations. Its total length is 80 kilometers, and the travel time between the end points is 116 minutes.
As part of the project, 7 new stations will appear on the line, two of them – Penyagino and Volokolamskaya – between the Pavshino and Tushino stations.
The Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo station was renamed Shchukinskaya and moved closer to the metro station of the same name. But the Rizhskaya station - the terminus for electric trains in the Riga direction of Russian Railways - will no longer exist.
From MCD-2 it will be possible to make a transfer to 2 MCC stations, 13 metro stations and 5 train stations. In addition, with the introduction of other diameters, transplants will appear on them too.
The expected passenger traffic of MCD-2 is 48.7 million passengers per year. The commissioning of the line will provide 486 thousand additional passenger seats per day. Diameter will be served by 24 modern comfortable Ivolga trains.
How will bus routes in Krasnogorsk change with the introduction of MCD-2>> MCD operating mode
Moscow Central Diameters will operate in the Moscow Metro and Moscow Central Circle mode - from 5:30 to 1:00. At the same time, the usual technological interruption will become a thing of the past.
MCD trains and commuter trains will operate in mixed mode. Immediately after the launch of the MCD, commuter trains will be included in the new train schedule. At the same time, any train that falls into the Moscow Central Diameters zone will automatically turn out to be an MCD train with the same tariffs, operating hours and additional services.

Official website of the Moscow Mayor
Three zones were identified on the MCD: “Central”, “Suburb” and “Far”. If we talk about the last zone, then it includes all stations outside the diameter. Zoning of commuter trains remains within its framework, and, as before, travel in one zone will cost passengers 23 rubles.
The Suburban zone includes MCD stations outside the Mark - Setun stations on MCD-1 and Volokolamskaya - Ostafyevo on MCD-2. That is, all stations on the territory of Krasnogorsk are located in this zone.
- “Central” zone – stations within the Mark – Setun stations on MCD-1 and Volokolamskaya – Ostafyevo on MCD-2.

Owners of Muscovite social cards will be able to use the MCD for free
Where to recode a social card for travel on the Moscow Central Diameter in order to enjoy the right to free travel on Moscow Central Diameter trains, the Moscow Metro Department told. They clarified that the procedure at the first stage will need to be carried out monthly. However, simple steps will allow you to significantly save on travel costs.
When will it be possible to recode a social card for travel to the MCD?
Transport links between Moscow and the Moscow region with the help of the MCD will make travel for local residents more comfortable. For example, pensioners will be able to get to their garden plots with greater comfort, and young people and citizens of working age will be able to get to school or work.
Residents of Moscow and the Moscow region can recode social cards starting November 20, 2019. To do this, pensioners will need to contact any Moscow metro ticket office.
As experts note, this is necessary in order to “teach” the card to charge trips according to distance. Please note that this function will have to be updated at the initial stage at the beginning of each month.
What other cards can be recoded for travel on the MCD?
Troika and Strelka cards can also be recoded for travel on the Moscow Central Diameters. This will allow metro users to make free transfers to MCD trains.
To “program” cards, users can also contact the metro ticket office, but cardholders can perform this procedure themselves. To do this, you will need to use ticket machines or electronic terminals.
Passengers must strictly comply with a number of requirements in order for the card to be able to correctly read information and generate a fare. In particular, at the end of the trip, when exiting the vehicle, the card must be applied to the validator.
Travel costs for those who do not use a social card on the MCD
The cost of travel on trains operating on the MCD will be purely individual for each passenger. It will depend on the distance of the trip. For example, a passenger who will travel exclusively in the central zone will have to pay 38 rubles.
In total, three tariff zones will be introduced along train routes along the MCD:
- central;
- distant;
- suburb.
A trip in a suburban area will cost passengers 7 rubles more. The passenger will have to pay 45 rubles for it. The fare fare for long-distance travel will be determined later, after the corresponding lines are put into operation.
Residents of Moscow and the Moscow region will also be able to save on travel by purchasing travel tickets. In order to use trains operating in the suburban area, a passenger can purchase a daily pass costing 285 rubles. Monthly, 90 and 365 day passes are also available.
Social card for travel on the Moscow metro
The metro social card (SCM) gives you the opportunity to get a discount on public transport. Personalized plastic contains additional functions, including benefits for medical services and discounts in certain stores. If you decide to buy a metro pass without a social card, you will significantly overpay.
Who is entitled to a social card to travel on the metro?
Reduced travel on the metro is given to:
- Students, schoolchildren, graduate students . The benefits apply to the subway and other city transport; a 50% discount is provided on trains from September 1 to June 15.
- Holders of plastic cards for beneficiaries can use transport services free of charge.
- Federal beneficiaries, veterans.
- Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Federal Migration Service.
A student's social card works in the metro only if you have identification documents that confirm your right to travel.
Answers to questions about the social card for the Moscow metro?
Let's consider the most common questions related to the use of plastic in everyday life: activation, replenishment, restoration, blocking, recoding.
How much does a social card cost on the metro?
The metro fare for 2019 is 380 rubles. The price includes a monthly discount for underground moving. For land travel you need to pay 250 rubles. Travel on the metro with a student's social card costs 1,140 rubles for 3 months.
The exact and reliable cost of a metro card can be found on the Moscow Metro website (http://mosmetro.ru/tariffs/).
How to activate a social card in the metro?
The student's social card is activated in the metro at any station at the ticket office. When using a ground-type travel, you will need to go to the Mosgortrans office or independently launch a social card in Elexnet. Self-launch is carried out in the appropriate section on the terminal.
Depending on the region, activation is done differently. It may be necessary to carry out the procedure only at plastic dispensing points - points where you can activate.
How to top up a social card on the metro?
Registration of plastic is free, after submitting an application it is issued within 30 days. To use, you need to top up your balance using one of the following methods:
- Online - convenient and fast. Just go to the government services portal, go to your personal account and select account replenishment.
- Terminals, phone application - money transfer is carried out using terminals of Sberbank, VTB, Credit Bank.
You can top up your balance regardless of the day of the current month. In any Moscow metro, the turnstile system shows payments at the end of the current month.
Why doesn't the social card work in the metro?
If a Muscovite's social card does not work, you need to go through another turnstile; sometimes system failures occur. Other problems include:
- The plastic card has expired; it can be checked at the ticket office or on the machine that is on the walls of any metro station.
- If the period has not expired, but the plastic does not work, then the inspector must let the person pass without it, after which the plastic is replaced or restored.
The production of a new and replacement of a faulty or lost social card is carried out by filling out an application form on the Moscow government services portal at the link www.mos.ru/services/. If you are unable to fill out the form, we advise you to visit one of the MFC public services “My Documents”.
Non-working SCMs must be changed within 3 days, during which time a free travel ticket will be issued. Payment for the metro must be carried out without covers, it must be removed from the wallet and other protective equipment, otherwise the turnstile may not work.
If a student’s travel on the subway is impossible due to the plastic not working, then you need to call the support service at (495) 539 55 55 (toll-free).
Metro stations where social cards are recoded?
To recode plastic in Moscow, you will need to contact the social security department, but now you can perform the procedure at some subway stations where there are specialized points.
Main stations:
- Myakinino, Partizanskaya, Elektrozavodskaya.
- Belorusskaya, Krasnogvardeyskaya.
- Ilyich Square.
- Novoyasenevskaya and Rizhskaya.
- Varshavskaya.
- Komsomolskaya, Paveletskaya.
- Rimskaya", Chkalovskaya.
- Dmitrovskaya, Nagatinskaya, Petrovsko-Razumovskaya, Savelovskaya, Timiryazevskaya, Yuzhnaya.
- Fili.
Conversion points will be gradually added at other stations. The procedure itself takes less than a minute. If the beneficiary does not have SCM, then you need to go to the MFC to receive it. To do this, you need an application, a passport and proof of benefits.
While the social card in the metro is being prepared, the cost of travel will be free, since a ticket will be issued for 1.5 months at the time of registration.
How to use a social card to travel in the subway?
To move, students must pay for travel for 1 or 3 months at the subway ticket office, only after that they will be able to travel. If beneficiaries have it, they can immediately enjoy free travel in the metro and ground transport.
Passage in the metro is carried out using a turnstile, but not everyone knows how to use a social card in the metro. To do this, plastic is applied to the yellow circle, after the green color appears, you can move. Re-entry is available after 7 minutes, but there will be no delay for the disabled.
Traveling with someone else's social card is possible, but for this you can be fined (if caught) in the amount of 1000 rubles for the Moscow region. In other regions the amount may vary. You will have to pay it within 30 days.
Pensioners were allowed to move around the MCD for free using a Muscovite social card
Travel on the MCD with a social card in Moscow will be free, thereby allowing pensioners to save their own money.
This decision was made by the metro administration together with city officials.
However, in order to take advantage of all the benefits during a trip along the Moscow Central Diameters, the owner of the social card will first have to perform several basic operations.
How to use a social card when traveling to the MCD
Traveling along the MCD, the first stage of which opened on November 21, 2019, will significantly save time, and most importantly, the budget of passengers. The fact is that the Moscow Central Diameters, according to the plan, became part of the fully-fledged transport system of the Russian capital. Now using MCD trains will be as comfortable as using the metro.
The advantageous offer, which was announced by the Moscow Department of Transport, was developed specifically for citizens of preferential categories. In particular, we are talking about pensioners and social card holders. They made travel on MCD trains free of charge.
In order not to pay for using MCD trains, the owner of a social card will initially have to perform an operation to recode it. Simply put, the card must be programmed for a new type of transport service.
In order for a specific program to be registered in the social card, identifying its owner during a trip along the MCD, citizens need to contact one of the metro ticket offices. Specialists will perform all necessary operations within a few minutes. After which the owner will be able to travel to one of the selected destinations absolutely free of charge.
Please note that when exiting MCD trains, the card must be presented to the validator. Otherwise it may be blocked. In order to use it again, the owner will have to go through the unlocking procedure. It will cost 150 rubles.
It is noteworthy that at first, holders of Muscovite social cards will need to apply to set up cards for using the MCD at the metro ticket office on a monthly basis. This, as experts explain, is caused by some technical features. However, the procedure itself will soon be simplified.
The new Muscovite social cards, which will be issued to owners, do not require additional programming. They will be initially configured for free use of the services of Moscow Central Diameters.
Who can save on travel on the MCD using social cards?
All citizens of retirement age who have a Muscovite social card will be able to save on travel by using the MCD. Nevertheless, as noted in the Department of Transport of the Russian capital. The innovation will bring the greatest benefit to those who are constantly on the go. This will also allow Muscovites who, for example, travel to the Moscow region to visit a dacha or garden plot, significantly save on travel costs.
Travel will also become more economical for Troika and Strelka card holders. They can also be used to pay for travel on MCD trains. By the way, transfers from the Moscow Central Diameters to the metro within 40 minutes have become completely free for passengers.
Opening of the first stage of the MCD in Moscow and the Moscow region
On November 21, 2019, the opening of the first two sections of the MCD took place. Russian President Vladimir Putin personally traveled on domestically produced trains that ply the routes. He thanked all the drivers, builders and maintenance staff of the MCD on behalf of the Russians for accessible and high-quality transport links.
In total, MCD-1 and MCD-2 connected 66 stations. On 25 of them, passengers can transfer to the metro. It is noteworthy that the lines pass through residential and industrial areas, thereby uniting Moscow and the Moscow region into a single transport network.
Is it possible to travel along the MCD with a Muscovite social card?
Holders of Muscovite social cards enjoy free travel on city public transport. Does this opportunity apply to travel on the MCD, and what needs to be done for this: information from the Department of Transport of the Moscow City Hall.
Since November 21, 2019, Muscovites have the opportunity to use another type of public transport – the MCD. Moscow central diameters have so far opened in 2 directions: Odintsovo - Lobnya and Podolsk - Nakhabino. In the future, such diameters will work in other directions.
Residents living near the MCD have already appreciated their advantages: they do not require numerous transfers to get to the desired station, travel time has been noticeably reduced, and the trains themselves offer maximum convenience. At the same time, MCD passengers can use all travel tickets issued for the capital’s subway, as well as the Muscovite Social Card (SCM). The SCM, however, needs to be recoded.
How to use a Muscovite social card to travel along the MCD?
Muscovites who belong to the category of beneficiaries have the right to a social card, which provides a number of benefits, including travel on public transport.
The capital authorities stated that all preferences will remain for travel on the MCD, but in order to use the social card on the elevated train, it must be reconfigured for a new type of transport: a program must be “registered” in the SCM that identifies its owner for travel on the MCD .
Recoding SCM is quite simple: cardholders must contact any metro ticket office, where they will carry out all the necessary actions. The procedure will only take a few minutes, after which you can hit the road – completely free.
The authorities warn that at first Muscovites’ social cards will have to be set up monthly for the MCD.
Experts explain this by the need to test the new service in order to eliminate possible failures in the program in the future. Subsequently, recoding will be simplified.
For those who have just received SCM, there is no need to reprogram the cards: they are initially configured to use central diameters.
Important: when leaving the MCD, your social card must be presented to the validator, otherwise it may be blocked. To unlock you will have to pay 150 rubles.
How MCDs work
MCD-1 and MCD-2 connect 66 stations, the diameters pass through residential and industrial areas, connecting Moscow and the Moscow region. At 25 stations, transfers to the metro are possible. The interval between trains is the same as in the subway: during peak hours, trains arrive every 3-4 minutes.

- MCD-2: Podolsk - Nakhabino.

Fare payment
On the Belorussky, Savelovsky, Kursky and Rizhsky directions you can pay for travel with a Troika card at new rates with a free transfer to the metro.
Payment via Troika is also possible outside the MCD: to the stations Chekhov, Novoierusalimskaya, Kubinka, Zvenigorod, Dmitrov, except for the direction to Usovo.
To travel beyond the borders of these stations, you must pay for the fare at the ticket office before your trip and write the ticket on your card. In this case, the free transfer to the metro will remain. This feature may be temporarily unavailable.
It is necessary to apply the card to the turnstile or validator before each trip and always after its end (no later than 5 hours after entry). At stations without turnstiles, you need to use validators at the exits or ticket counters.
If you do not validate your card at the exit, it may be blocked. The fee for unblocking the card is 150 rubles. During the transition period (until the turnstiles and vaddators work properly), the card may not be blocked.
Old tariffs
The previous fares and tickets continue to apply. You, as before, can buy regular tickets and season tickets at the ticket office or terminal of the Central PPK.
Regardless of the chosen payment method, you will be able to travel both on regular trains and on Ivolga trains. Aeroexpress trains are also available on the Odintsovo-Okruzhnaya section.
All previously issued tickets and subscriptions for regular trains remain valid - they can also be used to travel on Orioles and Aeroexpress trains until their expiration date.
Activating the card before use
Before using the Troika card for the first time on the MCD, you must activate it. For subscriptions, activation is possible only at metro ticket offices. To pay for trips using your balance, you can also activate:
- in ticket machines when replenishing the card;
- in information terminals (when activating remote card replenishment);
- in the mobile applications “Moscow Metro”, “My Travel Card” and others (when topping up the card).
Social and student cards also require prior activation. Cards issued after November 21 do not need to be activated.
Booklets with information
All basic information about the new tariffs can be found in the information booklets. They are available for free at most major stations.
MCD-1
MCD-2
MCD zones and tariffs
Includes trips within Moscow:
- on the Setun-Mark section;
- on the Shcherbinka - Volokolamskaya section;
- op.p. under construction Ostafyevo.
The cost of travel on Troika on the MCD is equal to the cost of travel on the metro - 38 rubles. Includes free transfer from the MCD to the metro, MCC, monorail and back within 90 minutes from the moment of first entry.
When paying with a contactless bank card (or using other electronic wallets), the cost of the trip will be 42 rubles. You can pay with cards at special turnstiles. Payment by card is subject to technical availability and may not be available.
Subject to the conditions for free transfers, the following can be considered one trip:
- MCD + metro + MCC + metro, etc.
More details in Appendix 2 of the Moscow Government Decree, pp. 18–21.
Thus, you only pay for metro travel, and a trip to the MCD will be free if your trip:
- takes place within the borders of Moscow;
- the time to pass through all turnstiles “to the entrance” does not exceed 90 minutes.
Subscriptions and benefits in the “Central” zone
On the MCD within the Central Zone, almost all “Unified” metro passes will be valid.
In addition to paying for a one-time trip, you can purchase a subscription for 60 trips for 1,900 rubles. And also subscriptions without restrictions on the number of trips:
- for 30 days - 2,170 rubles;
- for 90 days - 5,430 rubles;
- for 365 days - 19,500 rubles.
Schoolchildren and students will be able to travel to the MCD within Moscow using a regular discounted monthly metro ticket for 395 rubles (for 3 months - 1,185 rubles).
For privileged categories of citizens, it is possible to register for a free (non-cash) subscription to a social card at the cash desk once a month.
Suburban Zone
Includes trips from the region to Moscow and back, or from region to region within the boundaries of the MCD. The “Suburb” zone is limited to the stations: Podolsk, Nakhabino, Odintsovo, Lobnya.
If you pay by Troika, the fare will be 45 rubles. Transfers to the metro, MCC, monorail and back within 90 minutes will also be free.
Thus, a trip to the MCD will cost you 7 rubles if you do not use a metro pass and your trip:
- takes place within the borders of Moscow;
- the time to pass through all turnstiles “to the entrance” does not exceed 90 minutes.
Suburban zone subscriptions
Instead of “Unified” unlimited metro passes, this zone has its own “Unified MCD MO” subscriptions. They are a little more expensive than regular metro passes, but they allow you to travel:
- along all sections of the MCD (Podolsk - Nakhabino, Odintsovo - Lobnya);
- by metro, MCC, monorail;
- any ground public transport in Moscow.
Cost of subscriptions without restrictions on the number of trips in the “Suburb” zone:
- for 30 days - 2,570 rubles;
- for 90 days - 6,940 rubles;
- for 365 days - 24,450 rubles.
There will be no “United” travel tickets for 60 trips in the “Suburban” zone.
"Far" zone
Trips outside the MCD from the distant Moscow region to Moscow and back.
The cost of travel on the Troika consists of the cost of travel to the border of the MCD and the cost of travel in the Suburban zone. 90 minutes for a free transfer are counted from the moment of entry into the MCD borders.
According to preliminary information, this time will be determined as the time of ticket validation at the destination station minus the standard travel time from the MCD border.
Subscriptions for the “Dalnyaya” zone
Instead of the usual “Unified” metro passes, you need to buy a “Unified” pass to your station at the ticket office. It will operate both on a regular train and on all sections of the MCD, in the metro and ground public transport in Moscow.
Subscriptions can only be issued for 30, 90 and 365 days. The cost of the subscription depends on the number of zones up to the MCD border. For stations located near the MCD border, the cost of a 30-day subscription will be 3,230 rubles. The maximum cost of a subscription is 5,700 rubles.
More information about tariffs and subscriptions
The cost of subscriptions from all stations is published on our website in the train schedule. To view, enter the departure and destination stations, as well as the date of travel.
You can learn more about the new tariff system on the website of the Moscow Central Diameters, as well as on the special website of the Central PPK.
You can also watch a video from the meeting of the Deputy Head of the Moscow Central Diameters Service of the Moscow Metro with passengers, which took place in September.
General tariffs
1. Travel to the MCD with metro tickets is only possible if they are written on a Troika card. Paper tickets are not valid due to technical limitations.
2. If several tickets are recorded on the card, then the CPPC ticket is used first, the “Unified” metro passes are used second, then the card balance (“Electronic Wallet”) is used.
Train traffic on the MCD
On this route, throughout the day, trains Nakhabino - Podolsk - Nakhabino will run every 12 minutes: modern 11-car (double 5+6) Ivolga trains, EP2D, 2 Lastochka trains.
The first train will depart from the initial stations at about 4 am, the last - around midnight (in the center of Moscow, the last trains will be around 1 am). Travel time along the full route will be about 2 hours.
Direction Odintsovo - Lobnya (D1)
Here the traffic pattern is more complex. 11-car Orioles and EP2D trains, double-decker and single-decker Aeroexpress trains run every 30 minutes from early morning to late evening on three routes:
- Odintsovo - Sheremetyevo Airport (travel at the MCD rate is planned only on the section Odintsovo - Belorussky Station - Okruzhnaya);
- Belorussky railway station - Lobnya.
Early morning and late evening trains can begin or end their route at Savelovsky or Belorussky railway stations.
In order not to get confused in the train schedule, we recommend checking the schedule on our website. As on other routes, it contains information about all planned changes due to repair work, as well as about train delays in case of traffic disruptions.
Please note that special MCD trains are shorter than regular trains - board closer to the beginning of the platform.
Outside the MCD
Long-distance trains on both diameters D1 and D2 will also continue to run both from the stations and along the diameter routes - along the same tracks in the intervals between the Orioles.
However, some long-distance trains will depart from Tsaritsyno and Streshnevo (Leningradskaya) instead of train stations. On the Kursk direction, some trains from or to Tsaritsyno will follow tracks 3 and 4 (formerly “freight”) without intermediate stops to or from Podolsk.
Electric trains from/to Usovo and express trains
Regular trains from and to Usovo and most express trains will continue to operate, but they are not part of the MCD system. Travel to them can only be paid according to the current tariffs of the Central PPK; payment by Troika is not possible.
In addition, the transit movement of electric trains from Kursk to Belorussian direction and back will be stopped. The resumption of traffic is expected in a few years, with the opening of a new diameter Aprelevka - Zheleznodorozhnaya.
Taking into account long-distance trains (which also have Troika tariffs, except for fast, REX and other express trains), the interval between trains at any station D1 and D2 during peak hours, as a rule, will not exceed 5–10 minutes, and during off-peak times - 15–20 minutes. This traffic pattern will continue for the next few years.
In the future, it is planned to build additional tracks and separate MCD trains from long-distance electric trains. Then long-distance trains will run at an accelerated rate, stopping only at key stations. It is also planned to open new diameters.

Transfer from Moscow diameters to a bus or tram will be paid
MOSCOW, August 27. /TASS/. Transfers from the Moscow Central Diameters (MCD) to ground modes of the capital's transport will be paid: when moving within the “Central” zone, a ticket will cost 21 rubles, and within the “Suburban” and “Far” zones - 38 rubles. The press service of the Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development reported this on Tuesday.
The routes of the first two Moscow Central Diameters (MCD-1 from Odintsovo to Lobnya and MCD-2 from Nakhabino to Podolsk) will be divided into three tariff zones: “Central”, “Suburb” and “Dalnyaya”.
The “Central” zone will be within the boundaries of the Mark-Setun and Volokolamskaya-Ostafyevo stations, the “Prigorod” zone will include all other stations located in the Moscow region within the MCD, and the “Dalnyaya” zone will operate for trips from stations outside the MCD.
“Transferring to a Moscow bus, trolleybus, tram or electric bus from the MCD when paying with a Troika card will be carried out using a comprehensive ticket within 90 minutes.
A transfer to ground transport when traveling in the “Central” zone will cost a “90 minutes” complex ticket at 2019 prices - 21 rubles.
At the same time, a transfer to Moscow ground transport from the MCD for a passenger who came from the “Suburban” and “Far” zones will cost the same as a full ticket - 38 rubles,” the message says.
The department's press service added that travel on the MCD can be paid for with any Moscow Metro tickets that are issued to Troika. It will also be possible to travel along the diameters using tickets for regular trains, but in this case, transfers to the metro and MCC will be paid. In addition, passengers will be able
“In addition to the “Wallet” ticket of the “Troika” card, passengers will be able to use all Moscow Metro tickets that are registered with the “Troika” to pay for travel. According to the 2019 tariff menu, these are tickets: for 60 trips, 1 day, 3 days, 30 days, 90 days and 365 days.
These tickets will be valid for payment in the “Central” zone.
For travel in the Moscow region [Suburban zone] within the MCD and in the Far zone, other passes will be valid; the types of passes and their cost are currently being agreed upon,” the message says.
In addition, paper “Unified” tickets will not be valid for travel on the Moscow Central Diameters due to the characteristics of the chips in them. “Unified paper tickets will not be valid on the MCD. The impossibility of using paper “United” tickets is due to technical limitations of the chip used in the paper medium,” the message says.
