Family kindergarten: for large families, how to organize it, in Moscow

Family home kindergarten

In this article we will look at how to organize a family kindergarten in your home. First you need to figure out what a family (or home) kindergarten is? Well, firstly, this is not a private kindergarten organized in a private house or a neighbor’s apartment. A family kindergarten is when a mother is a teacher of her own children in her home and receives a salary for this.

Let us consider in detail what a family kindergarten is, using the example of one large family that had experience organizing such a kindergarten in 2011-2012. The family’s place of residence is one of the cities of the Krasnodar Territory. The name of the mother of many children is Marina.

Marina, first of all, tell me which family has the right to open a family kindergarten?

A family with three preschoolers, aged from 2 months to 7 years, can open a family (home) kindergarten. From the experience of families I know, there are also prefabricated kindergartens: one family has two children, another has one child, they make one group and one of the mothers sets up the kindergarten for herself.

Why organize home kindergartens at all? Isn’t it easier to send the children to an ordinary kindergarten and let the mother go to her main job?

Firstly, it is now difficult to wait in line for kindergarten, even if the child was registered from birth. Secondly, many people now do not send their children to kindergarten because they often get sick or for some other reason.

As for our family, we did not want to send our children to kindergarten because we wanted to raise them ourselves. Therefore, having learned that it was still possible to receive money, we decided to open a family kindergarten as soon as our third child was born. At the time the kindergarten was organized, our children were the following ages: 6 years, 3 years and 2 months.

Where to start designing a family kindergarten?

First, I contacted the city Education Department. I said that I have three children and that I want to open a family kindergarten. I was received well and asked which kindergarten I would like to join.

It turns out that a home kindergarten cannot exist on its own; it must be a branch or group of a specific kindergarten. I chose the kindergarten closest to us and went there. The manager, it seemed to me, was even happy about my arrival.

It turned out that every kindergarten is now even required to create similar groups of family gardens. After all, then more places are freed up in the queue for kindergarten.

What documents are required to register a family kindergarten?

The manager explained everything to me in detail. I photographed our children's room and provided several photographs to the kindergarten: cribs, a table, toys, books. A representative from the kindergarten comes to some families and takes photographs of home conditions.

The documents required were: my passport, my work record, children’s birth certificates. It was also necessary to obtain medical cards for the children and a medical (sanitary) record for me. It took time.

What do medical cards for children look like?

Medical cards for preschoolers/schoolchildren are sold in stationery stores. We bought them ourselves. Such a card (or rather, a book) is assigned to a child in kindergarten and then accompanies him until he graduates from school. When a child undergoes a medical examination, doctors make their notes on the card.

  • To register a home kindergarten, we had to go through a full medical examination with the children, as if they were entering an ordinary kindergarten.
  •
  • What is a personal medical record?

All workers in the food sector (cooks, food sellers), as well as persons working with children (educators, teachers) have a medical (or sanitary) book. And I, as a kindergarten employee, also had to draw up such a book.

The preparation of this document in our city is carried out by the Sanitary and Epidemiological Station (SES). I had to take several tests, go through the office of a gynecologist-venereologist, and even take a professional test for kindergarten teachers. Registration of a medical record was not very difficult and took one week.

Is it necessary for children to be vaccinated to register for kindergarten?

No, we refused vaccinations, Mantoux, and x-rays. The law now allows this, and health workers do not have the right to exclude unvaccinated children from preschool and school education. Of course, the head of the children's clinic did not like this very much, but she still signed the admission to the kindergarten.

How long does the kindergarten registration process take?

The longest process turned out to be processing medical cards for children. There were always queues at the clinics, we had to see a lot of doctors, so it took us 2 months. Maybe someone else can do it faster.

And the most important question: what salary did you receive?

My salary consisted of 0.5 salary of a teacher + 0.5 salary of an assistant teacher (nanny) + 0.25 salary of a cook. As of January 2014, in the Krasnodar Territory, the salary of a mother-teacher in a family kindergarten is approximately 18,000 rubles. Agree, a good help for the family! In addition, mom gets work experience, and they also give her food!

Did the kindergarten give you food?

Yes, we were given food. That is, those products that were included in the menu were given to us.

In theory, we were supposed to pick up groceries every day, but by agreement with the kindergarten management, we picked them up twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays.

This way it was more convenient for us - pick up immediately in 2-3 days. The husband came after work and picked up the packages from the caretaker, since the kindergarten was already closed by that time.

So what did your family kindergarten look like?

Basically, nothing has changed in our lives. We lived our lives, got up and went to bed when we wanted, ate and walked when it was convenient for us, and did not give any reports to anyone. For a year, we have never received any inspection or commission, although this can also happen.

Didn't they require you to write reports at kindergarten?

In our kindergarten they didn’t require it, but I know that in other groups mothers wrote small reports about what they prepared today from kindergarten products and what activities they did with their children. Maybe the manager herself did it for us.

What products did you receive from the kindergarten?

To be honest, at first I thought that we would only be given barley and semolina. But everything turned out to be much better.

In two days we received approximately the following products: 2-3 liters of milk, 1.5 loaves of bread, 300-400 grams of beef (or a little more chicken or fish), 200-300 grams of sugar, 3-5 eggs, 200-300 grams some cereal, 200-300 grams of flour, 150 grams of butter, several potatoes, 1-2 onions, 2-3 carrots, 1 pack of cottage cheese, several apples, half a head of cabbage.

By the way, you can refuse products.

Is it possible to take money instead of food?

In the Krasnodar Territory - no. But I know that in other regions this is practiced (instead of food they give money for food).

What other nuances of a family kindergarten have you not talked about?

It may seem funny, but we paid for our children to stay in a family kindergarten! I, as a teacher, did not pay the full amount, but only 25%. Today it is a little more than 400 rubles per child per month.

But according to the law, part of the amount was returned to me: for the first child - 20%, for the second - 50%, for the third - 70%. Here's the diagram.

Roughly speaking, for three children a month, parents now pay 600-700 rubles (including refunds).

But I know parents who do not pay for their children in family kindergarten. If the family is low-income, then by decision of the kindergarten commission, such a family may not pay for their children.

Is it possible to open a home kindergarten if the mother is employed and is on maternity leave (maternity leave)?

Yes, I had exactly this situation. When the manager asked for my work record, I replied that it was at my main job. Then I got a part-time job.

Is it possible to register a family kindergarten if the family does not live in their own house/apartment, but rents a house?

Yes! I know one family who rents a house, and there are a lot of them living in the apartment: grandparents, and the husband’s sister and child.

Is it possible to register a home kindergarten if the mother does not have Russian citizenship?

Yes! This same family, or rather the mother, does not have Russian citizenship, but only a residence permit. The only thing that was required of her at the kindergarten was to bring a certificate of no criminal record and obtain a work permit.

Is it difficult to register a home (family) kindergarten?

It may not be easy for some, but it is worth doing. If someone has doubts about some issues, for example, small living space, or poor living conditions, it is still worth going to the nearest kindergarten and consulting with the head. She will explain everything and can accommodate you.

Family kindergartens in the Moscow region: how a mother can become a teacher

Family kindergartens appeared in the Moscow region more than 10 years ago. We are not talking about private kindergartens, but about a program to help large families - when a mother with many children can raise her children at home and receive a salary for it. A RIAMO columnist found out how family kindergartens work in the Moscow region.

The program for creating family kindergartens (family preschool groups) operates in many regions of Russia, including Moscow and the region. To date, 34 family preschool groups have been opened in the Moscow region - in Naro-Fominsk, Vidnoye, Kolomna, Odintsovo and Domodedovo. According to the regional Ministry of Education, 94 children are educated in family kindergartens.

The program is also actively developing in Moscow; two years ago, about 800 preschool family groups were established in the capital.

In different regions, the norms for organizing family groups may vary - from the number and age of children to the qualifications of the parent-educator. In Moscow, in 2007, a government decree was adopted “On approval of approximate regulations on the organization of activities of a family kindergarten.” Municipalities of the Moscow region have adopted their own regulations regulating the work of family groups.

In the Moscow region, the principles of operation of a family kindergarten are similar. It is believed that this is a family group of a particular preschool institution that provides assistance and methodological support. Accordingly, children from the family group can attend all kindergarten classes - from modeling to swimming pool, as well as holidays.

A family kindergarten must have at least three preschool children aged from 2 months to 7 years. In some cases, if a family does not have enough preschool children of its own, children from other families can be accepted into the family kindergarten.

To open a family kindergarten, a large family must contact the education department of the city district administration in which they live. It is also worth enlisting the support of the head of the kindergarten to which you would like to “attach” in advance.

As a rule, when contacting the local administration, the kindergarten organizer will need to write an application and attach a copy of your passport.

Already at the place of work, in kindergarten, they will require a work book, medical record, birth certificates of children and their medical records.

The future teacher must also present documents on higher or secondary vocational pedagogical education. If they are not there, the employer has the right to ask to receive it.

Before opening a kindergarten at home, it will be inspected by a special commission. As a result, a sanitary and epidemiological conclusion will be issued, a conclusion on the compliance of the facility with fire safety requirements, and an inspection report on living conditions.

The kindergarten management must familiarize itself with all the requirements of the future teacher. Thus, each preschool child must be allocated at least 2 square meters of play area, a separate working and sleeping space.

There is one family kindergarten operating in the Domodedovo city district; a regulation on this was adopted by the local administration in 2014. The group operates in accordance with the charter of the preschool educational institution to which it is attached.

As family group teacher and mother of seven children Margarita Tepina told RIAMO, she created the kindergarten on her own initiative. To do this, she filed an application with the district education department.

“I didn’t have any problems, I met all the points: I had a higher pedagogical education and three (at that time) preschool children,” shared the mother of many children.

In her opinion, for a large family with children of the same age, a home kindergarten is an ideal option. She tried to take her older child to a regular kindergarten. But my daughter was sick all the time in kindergarten, and so was the whole family, so we had to look for another option, she shared.

Before the opening of the kindergarten, the private house where the family lives was checked for compliance with SanPiN standards - there were no questions, but the firefighters did have comments. “We had stove heating in our house, there was no fire reservoir,” the woman said. The family purchased fire extinguishers, installed fire alarms, and ordered an evacuation plan.

Before the opening of the group, all children and their mother-teacher were issued medical cards. When all the issues were resolved, the home kindergarten started working and has been operating successfully for four years.

The family group actively communicates with the supervising kindergarten; children attend matinees there, celebrate New Year, Maslenitsa and other holidays together. A music worker and an art teacher come to their home, and the teachers help Margarita fill out all the reports. “The manager and I are very friendly, they meet all our wishes,” notes Margarita.

But the family refused to have food delivered from the kindergarten to their home, opting for home-cooked meals, so their food costs are reimbursed. Margarita, as a family group teacher, is paid a salary every month.

Where to look for help

According to Margarita, her mothers in the Moscow region also tried to open family kindergartens (FDC), but not everyone succeeded. For example, due to the fact that the apartment is located on the top floor of a high-rise building. “You still need to contact them and try, because many people simply need family gardens,” she advises.

On social networks, active mothers who managed to obtain a VDS are willing to share their experiences. However, most do not want to spend time collecting documents and receiving additional education.

Thus, Olga, a mother of many children from Shchelkovo, writes on Instagram that she was denied the opportunity to organize a SDS due to lack of pedagogical education. “I was very surprised that without having a pedagogical education, by law I cannot give my children preschool education,” the woman was indignant.

Another mother of many children, Olga from Dolgoprudny, admitted to RIAMO that she simply does not have time to complete the documents. “We actively communicate with large families of Dolgoprudny, but we don’t even discuss this topic - it’s too complicated,” the woman is sure.

  1. Meanwhile, since 2015, the “Association of Teachers of Family Kindergartens, Family Education and Upbringing” has been operating in Moscow, where anyone can turn for help.
  2. “Mothers with many children come to us from different regions, including the Moscow region, and my main advice is to be active,” says Natalya Polskova, president of the association.
  3. She advises mothers who have been refused permission to open a family kindergarten to unite with other large families in the area and seek help “on all verticals and horizontals.”
  4. Raising in a family, according to Natalya, is natural for a child, and municipal kindergartens are not suitable for all children.

“Many mothers want to raise their children themselves. And a family kindergarten teacher is, perhaps, the only profession where a woman can become a mother without interrupting her work activity,” Polskova noted.

Moreover, it often encourages families to have more children, she added.

The Department of Education will help mothers with many children open a family kindergarten

Posted 21:48h in News by Natalya 0 Comments

Such a phenomenon as a family kindergarten (FKG) appeared in Moscow to support large families, solve the problem of a shortage of places in kindergartens and help children with disabilities get a good preschool education.

The Institute “Family Kindergarten” received legal status with the adoption by the Moscow Government on October 30, 2007 of Resolution N 951-PP “On approval of approximate regulations on the organization of activities of a family kindergarten.”

There are now 950 family kindergartens in Moscow. Their number is growing from year to year.

The Moscow Department of Education requested from the Association of Large Families of the City of Moscow lists of mothers and fathers who would like to open a kindergarten, but either could not, or did not know, or were afraid. Department specialists will assist families in opening a child care home.

We tried to answer the most frequently asked questions.

Yulia Alexandrova and Olga Kostina, helped us compose the answers

Yulia Alexandrova recently opened her kindergarten. She says that she always dreamed about this - there are six children in the family, and her husband worked alone, she wanted to help at least somehow. “They pay for the same thing I usually do - in the family I always worked with children. This is something from the realm of fantasy. You don’t look for any part-time work, you spend more time with your children,” said Yulia.

Olga Kostina closed her family kindergarten two years ago. She also speaks positively about the initiative: “We were happy that there was such an opportunity,” she says. According to her, the salary was decent, she was satisfied, and in the last year it even increased.

What is a family kindergarten?

This is one of the forms of preschool education for children from large families. Parents open such kindergartens at home and provide education, education, health care and nutrition for children from 2 months to 7 years.

  • A family kindergarten is a kind of branch of a municipal preschool educational institution, in which the parent-educator receives a job, salary and work experience.
  • Who can open a kindergarten?
  • A large family with three or more children aged from 2 months to 7 years, registered at the place of residence in the capital.

Any of the parents, both mother and father, can organize the work of a family kindergarten. For the parent, this becomes the main place of work, he receives a salary.

In this case, the teacher becomes someone who has a higher or secondary vocational pedagogical education. In the absence of pedagogical education, a parent can be hired as an assistant teacher and supervise and care for children.

Is it possible to create a VDS if there are only two children in the family from 2 months to 7 years?

If there is only one or two preschool children in a family, a family kindergarten can also be organized, but on the condition that children from other families will also attend it.

You may even be able to attend a family kindergarten in a different area than your registered address. “You can choose which family kindergarten to go to, not even where you are registered. If they stopped going to the family kindergarten (if it were closed, for example), then the children would end up in the kindergarten to which the SDS is attached,” said Yulia Alexandrova.

  1. How can a municipal preschool educational institution help?
  2. To set up a kindergarten at home, the parent-educator can take the necessary equipment, furniture or toys from the municipal preschool educational institution.
  3. Teachers also have the opportunity to receive methodological assistance from the municipal preschool educational institution, including specialized literature and various manuals.
  4. At the same time, SDS pupils can visit narrowly focused specialists at preschool educational institutions, come to various classes, and take part in festive events.

In a family kindergarten, education is carried out according to the general education program. A parent-educator can create an original methodology for early development based on methodological recommendations, but he must agree on the methodology with the management of the preschool educational institution to which the family kindergarten is assigned.

How to open a family kindergarten?

Opening a kindergarten, say mothers with many children, is not difficult - the procedures are standard, but sometimes they take time: “Opening a kindergarten is not difficult, like collecting medical records in a regular kindergarten. You also need to collect certificates of no criminal record, that there are no administrative violations, and undergo drug testing and psychological testing. You order certificates, and within a month they arrive.

A kindergarten can be opened by one of the parents of a large family by contacting the head of a nearby educational organization that includes preschool groups.

He will need the following documents:

  • statement;
  • passport of one of the parents (legal representatives);
  • employment history;
  • medical book;
  • birth certificates of all children;
  • children's medical records.

What work does a teacher do in SDS?

The daily task of the teacher is to provide the little pupils with proper care, namely: teaching the children, taking them for a walk, preparing food and feeding them, etc.

  • The teacher's responsibilities also include taking daily class notes (although some organizations also accept plans), as well as filling out the attendance sheet.
  • The management of a municipal kindergarten has the right to demand that the teacher conduct an open lesson or test students.
  • It is also possible to check both the sanitary conditions of the premises (for example, the condition of the bathroom and kitchen) and the conditions for children in the family kindergarten (for example, how the daily routine is observed).

What do they pay attention to when checking? Do methodologists come often?

The inspection warns about arrival three days in advance. It is impossible to say for sure how often they come and to what extent they check the premises. According to Olga Kostina and Yulia Alexandra, everything happens differently for all families.

But first of all, they check the safety and comfort of the room: whether household chemicals are in a place visible to children, whether towels hang low in the bathroom, whether there are different sets of bed linen, a table for studying, separate sleeping places for children, and so on. “We had an inspection of the premises, making sure there were sleeping places and space for games,” says Olga.

  1. And Yulia admitted that, just in case, before the commission arrived, “I cleaned the apartment for a month and a half, moving the furniture away from the walls.”
  2. How much does a teacher earn?

“Everyone’s salary is different, it all depends on the school’s rating and the funds it has. One may have a salary of 15 thousand, and another - 45,” said Yulia Alexandrova.

Her kindergarten opened in January of this year, but the mother of many children has already noted that payment is made twice a month - an advance and a salary, and they also send money for baby food. Also, Yulia notes, payments stop during maternity leave, since the mother gets an official job.

“They gave us about 2,400 per child for food,” shares Olga Kostina.

In general, opinions about family kindergartens vary widely, but Olga and Yulia seem to be quite happy with their experience.

“If a mother has an education and a certain system for building relationships with children, then there is no problem. But if mom doesn’t pull it, then it’s just a “family stay,” says Olga.

Yulia agrees that a lot depends on the preparation of the parent, but no less depends on the children themselves: “It depends on what you want to get from the kindergarten. Some shyer children may be better off in a family kindergarten, but my son needs a lot of friends, so I sent him to a regular kindergarten.”

Mom on salary

What is a family kindergarten? How is it built? We will talk about this with several mothers who have become teachers in their own kindergartens.

Family kindergarten

Disputes flare up and then subside over whether it is necessary to pay a mother with many children a salary and accrue seniority.

Meanwhile, in Moscow, for the second year now, this issue has been resolved positively: Muscovites with many children can organize a family kindergarten from their own children at home, thus becoming paid teachers.

We discussed with several mothers - teachers of family kindergartens the pros and cons of this innovation.

Red tape and support

If you are parents of many children and among your children there is at least one preschooler, you can open a family kindergarten at home, based on a regular kindergarten .

True, there must be at least three children in it, so if all your other children are over seven years old, you need to “supplement the set” with children from other families. One condition: these families must also have many children.

Tatiana, the wife of a priest and mother of seven children, learned about this opportunity in February 2008, and already in March she was teaching a kindergarten for her own children.

“In principle, it turned out to be easy,” she says. The first step is to go to the district education department to see a specialist in preschool education - he will offer a choice of several kindergartens that the mother can look at, then you need to talk with the heads and choose the kindergarten that you like.

After a more detailed conversation with the manager, you can begin to design your family garden.

Registration also takes a little effort: parents collect documents - birth certificates of children, their medical policies, certificate of large families, passport and educational diploma of the parent - the future teacher, pension insurance certificate, Taxpayer Identification Number (if any) and work book.

If there is no work book, it will be taken to the kindergarten; if the work book is at the place of the previous job, it will have to be picked up - registration under the contract is not provided for here. Copies are needed for all documents; they are brought to the selected garden, an application is written, an order is issued, and the family garden begins to work from that moment.

“After I took the documents to the kindergarten, the head and senior teacher came to our home.

After making sure that the apartment met all the necessary requirements, we signed an employment contract,” says mother of many children, Daria. She was handed a bunch of papers: from a job description to a kindergarten attendance report card.

The report card made Daria laugh: every day she had to mark the attendance of her own three children on it. But such is the order!

Daria also received a program of classes for children in various subjects: physical education, reading, drawing, etc. And every day she began to fill out a reporting journal about the work done. The notes were approximately as follows: “Today we learned to hold a spoon, in the morning we learned to brush our teeth and say “thank you.” After a couple of days, she got tired of it, and she immediately planned everything for the year ahead.

“In my district, the reporting requirements are quite adequate, but some of my friends simply groan at the formalism,” says Tatyana. “And if they could write how they actually managed to conduct the lesson, and not how they were formally obliged, it would be much better.”

Perhaps these requirements arise from a misunderstanding that a family can have not only three preschoolers, but also as many or more teenage schoolchildren. After all, the workload of a mother with three preschoolers and one with six to eight children is completely different. The first mother, of course, is also having a hard time, but the second mother just feels like a cornered horse. And formal requirements drive mom into a corner.

You also need to write reports on nutrition. It is clear that in the kindergarten they report by gram - who, what and how much they ate, because there is financial responsibility, but when the mother is required to write the same display of products, it looks absurd.

For example, Tatyana collects checks, writes out products, writes a report in one evening, which products were purchased with this money, submits them to the accounting department, and that’s it. And some mothers are forced to calculate products down to the gram, and they write these reports for three weeks.

But the family buys food not only for preschoolers, but also for other children!

But despite the reports, most mothers with many children see big advantages in home kindergarten. “When my elders were little, there was an opinion among Orthodox Christians that there was no need to send children to kindergartens,” says Tatyana.

“But over time, I realized that I can’t just sit at home, I need an alternative.” How can I, for example, conduct a full-fledged music lesson without musical education?” Tatyana takes the children to music, physical education, the pool, and a speech therapist, and at home she conducts classes on speech development, mathematics, and drawing.

“It turned out to be very significant that you can come to a regular kindergarten and work with its specialists completely free of charge,” says Daria. — The speech therapist helped us a lot, we could use the services of a massage therapist. When one of the children was burned, a nurse came to us from the kindergarten and bandaged him.

We were very touched when the kindergarten administration gave us carpets and bedding for the children.”

And of course, a salary and payment for food for each child is a huge help for the family. Daria earns about 10 thousand rubles a month, and Mother Tatyana earns 13 thousand (a teacher’s salary depends on the availability of a pedagogical education).

The story of one defeat

However, the administration of the “head” kindergarten is not always sympathetic to the needs of parents with many children, and the reason for this is, among other things, money.

“They pay you for three children, but for my salary one teacher takes care of 20 children. Where is the justice? — the manager said to the mother of five children, Lyudmila.

When she referred to the program to help large families, the nagging began.

The kindergarten commission consisted of a nurse, a teacher and a manager. Lyudmila was bombarded with questions and instructions: why are the pots and beds not numbered, and there should be three hooks for towels in the bathroom (since

three children), three hooks for combs, cups and washcloths, and in the toilet there should be a jar of chloramine (antiseptic with chlorine)! Lyudmila agreed with everything, except for chloramine: one of her daughters is very curious - she can climb into the jar.

— We cannot take your children to kindergarten because they are not vaccinated! — the nurse suddenly said, looking through the children’s medical records.

But Lyudmila did not agree with this either: the decree of the chief sanitary doctor of the city of Moscow Nikolai Filatov No. 12 dated November 2, 2000 allows children to be admitted to nurseries and kindergartens without vaccinations.

  • Having listened dryly to the answer, the commission continued the attack:
  • — What time do your children go to bed during the day?
  • - At two PM.
  • — And our children of the younger group go to bed at 12!
  • “You understand, they are used to going to bed at two o’clock in the afternoon...” Lyudmila objected to her own misfortune.

- ... and I remind you that you are a kindergarten employee and must live according to a schedule. The order is the same for everyone. Your working day begins at eight in the morning, you teach them classes, then you go for a walk and at twelve they go to bed,” said the manager. - And we will come to you and check all this.

Then it turned out that Lyudmila’s children were playing with the wrong toys. Toys should be role-playing: kitchen, hairdresser, medical office.

“A methodologist will come to you to check what toys your children use,” the director warned.

“I realized that they would come to us without warning, as if they were coming to their own home,” recalls Lyudmila.

— Two months later, when the eldest child went to school and there were only two preschool-age children left, we almost agreed with our friends that their child would come to us; but the official attitude and constant hassle, when every day you wait for uninvited, unfriendly guests, turned out to be too much for me.”

However, this case, judging by our surveys of mothers from family kindergartens and on forums, is rather an exception to the rule. Most mothers were not bothered by the kindergarten administration with sudden visits. According to Lyudmila herself, her unsuccessful experience was most likely due to the fact that not all kindergarten directors were ready for the new program.

Mom's qualifications

The administration of kindergartens helps mothers-teachers improve their education, and not only with manuals and manuals.

Tatyana, for example, completed courses in pedagogy, physiology, and child psychology at the Institute of Open Education. Classes lasted for two months, once a week, for five hours. During the course, Tatyana left the children with their grandmothers.

If this is not possible, the mother can take the children to the “head” kindergarten for this time.

“To lead organizations, people graduate from college. A large family is exactly the same organization,” Tatyana shares her thoughts. — For mothers of many children, knowledge of pedagogy and psychology is vital.

It’s a pity that we were given only general concepts and that teaching methods for different age groups have not yet been developed. Any teacher can share his experience on how to conduct a lesson in senior, middle, and junior groups separately.

What about when there are children of different ages in a group?!”

In Daria's garden, all the children are also different in age. Parents read new fairy tales to them every day, children draw, sculpt, construct and play whatever they want. The younger ones follow the elders, and their main characters are not Ryaba Hen, but musketeers or Indians.

The problem with music and physical education is also easily solved: for example, six-year-old Alyosha learns to play the violin - this is music, and physical education is replaced by classes in the sambo section. The management of the district kindergarten does not object to such a program.

The main thing is that all papers are filled out correctly and on time.

But when the eldest child reaches school age, the kindergarten is automatically closed, because there can be at least three preschoolers in it. You can adopt a child from outside, but only from a large family.

“Why don’t they trust us with ordinary children? - asks Tatyana. “After all, it’s very difficult to find families with many children close to home, whose child would be of the same age, and the mother would want to give him to someone else’s family.”

Next year, Tatiana’s eldest preschooler daughter will go to school, and the kindergarten will stop operating, her seniority will also stop, and there will be no salary again.

“The kindergarten, of course, fulfilled its function, and the state supported us financially, the children received a good preschool education, but it would be great if a mother of many children simply received a salary and had work experience, regardless of whether there was a kindergarten or not, so that the state recognized that having many children is hard work and work,” says Tatyana.

First time in kindergarten

The history of kindergartens began in the German city of Bad Blankenburg in 1837, when the famous teacher and theorist of preschool education Friedrich Wilhelm August Froebel opened the first kindergarten, created on the model of a large family, where children are brothers and sisters, and the teacher is a kind and caring mother.

In Froebel's time in Germany there were schools for small children in which education was mainly religious, children spent hours knitting stockings and learning the catechism by heart.

In Froebel's kindergarten, education was based more on playing in the company of peers under the supervision of a teacher who does not offend one another, talks, sings with the children, accustoms them to order and neatness and never punishes.

In addition to Froebel, the secular theory of preschool education was developed by Montessori, Frenet, Malaguzzi, Steiner, and others. In Europe and America, kindergartens operate based on the theories of these scientists.

In Russia, the first kindergarten was opened in 1866 at the charitable Society of Cheap Apartments in St. Petersburg. Such gardens were called “folk” and were intended for children of city dwellers from the lower strata of the population. In the same year A.S.

Simonovich opened a paid private kindergarten for children of the intelligentsia. By the beginning of the twentieth century, there were already quite a few preschool institutions in Russia, both paid and free. During these same years, K.D.

Ushinsky created his own method of preschool education.

In Soviet Russia there were two types of preschool educational institutions: state and departmental kindergartens. In modern Russia, starting from 1998, private ones began to appear along with them.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, today there are about 47 thousand municipal preschool educational institutions and more than 2 thousand departmental and private ones operating in Russia.

Family kindergartens (not to be confused with home - private kindergartens at home, which can be opened not only by a parent with many children, but also by any holder of the appropriate license and suitable premises) began to open in the capital in 2008 after a decree of the Moscow government dated October 30, 2007 " On organizing the activities of a family kindergarten." As of September 2008, 103 family kindergartens were opened in Moscow. In such a garden there can be from three to five children.

Family kindergartens in Moscow. How everything works - MK

President of the Association of Teachers of Family Kindergartens Natalya Polskova: “I have always treated the upbringing of my children with special trepidation”

President of the Association of Teachers of Family Kindergartens (Family Preschool Groups), Family Education and Upbringing Natalya Polskova told our publication about how the life of adults and children in a family kindergarten works.

— Natalya Alexandrovna, you worked as a teacher in a family kindergarten, tell us about your experience.

— When I first started, in 2008, I had four children, then two more were born. In total, I worked as a family kindergarten teacher for ten years and I can say that my experience is absolutely positive.

Thanks to working at home, I was able to pay attention not only to the kids, but also to be included in the lives of the older children. I am sure that children need parents equally in infancy, in school, and in college. We did not have the disconnect between children and parents that characterizes many modern families.

We are not talking about constant control, I am only talking about the involvement of parents in the lives of children, which is so necessary for a growing person. I have long noticed that children become less susceptible to stress when their parents are nearby. And all this is provided by a family kindergarten.

I have always been particularly passionate about raising my children, so creating a family kindergarten in our family was the optimal solution.

— What qualities should a mother or father who works in a family kindergarten have?

“First of all, they must be well organized themselves and understand the daily routine the child needs, be able to keep all the children occupied, so that the older ones help the younger ones in games. It is important to remember that each child needs to ensure his own developmental trajectory, and it is necessary to understand how these trajectories should intersect correctly in a group of different ages.

— You are talking about rather subtle psychological matters. Are they available to new educators and what about special education?

- This can and should be learned. Our city has a flexible system for opening family kindergartens - qualification characteristics allow you to open one without having a specialized education.

Mom or dad are registered as an assistant teacher or junior teacher and undergo training. When specialized education is completed, you can already apply for the position of a teacher.

If there is a need for advanced training, it follows the same pattern.

— Does a family kindergarten change the social status of a mother with many children?

- Undoubtedly. The social status of mothers with many children who open a family kindergarten is changing. The attitude in society towards such families is also changing. In simple words, such a mother becomes a kind of “beacon” that you want to follow.

The ability to combine work and caring for your children is a very popular trend among modern parents.

In addition, when a mother of many children is officially employed, she can improve herself, learn new things, improve her qualifications, she stands on her feet more firmly, worries less about the future, her children are well-groomed and educated. You want to imitate such a woman, she commands respect, and her self-esteem increases.

Many people, on the basis of their existing higher education, undergo professional retraining and receive a diploma in pedagogical education. When the children grow up and the family kindergarten is closed, mother-educators will be able to continue working in preschool groups in schools.

— Children grow up in different age groups in a family kindergarten. In your opinion, is this a plus or a minus?

— I think that a mixed-age group is wonderful, moreover, it’s natural. The relationship and communication of younger and older children perfectly complements what the teacher - an adult - gives.

Often children find a common language easier and explain simple concepts to each other. My oldest child is 22 years old and my youngest is eight.

When older children spend time next to little ones, they learn better and are better suited to life.

— Family kindergarten is one of the preschool groups at the school. Do family kindergarten students and teachers go to school?

- Children are constantly invited to classes, sports competitions, concerts, school holidays, and use the school grounds - there is no isolation.

Mom-teacher or dad-teacher are full members of the school team, communicate with colleagues, receive methodological recommendations.

At those metropolitan schools that have been successfully working with family kindergartens for many years, advisory centers have been opened, which are addressed by both teachers of existing family kindergartens and those who are just planning such activities.

— What are the trends: is the number of family kindergartens stable or growing?

— The number of large families, as well as family kindergartens, is growing in our city. And this trend, I think, is largely due to the support of family kindergartens by the Department of Education and Science of our city.
