Press release “The first season of the Our Tree campaign has ended in the capital” on Materstvo.ru

As part of the Moscow Government’s “Our Tree” campaign, young parents planted more than 2,000 personalized trees in honor of their children’s birthdays. The project received widespread support from Russian stars.

Olga Kabo, Stas Piekha, Dmitry Dyuzhev, Irina Dubtsova and Dmitry Dibrov recorded video stories about the importance of environmental education for the new generation of Muscovites.

The videos are already available online for family viewing on the social networks of the capital’s Department of Environmental Management. Applications for landings in 2020 are now open.

This fall, as part of the “Our Tree” campaign, 2,376 new seedlings more than 5 meters high appeared in the capital’s parks. Planting linden trees, oaks, pines, maples and other plants not only contributed to the greening of the metropolis, but also became an important event in the lives of young families. Each tree commemorates the birth of a child.

Muscovites were asked to choose a place for a seedling in one of the capital's 27 natural parks. Planting for the 2019 fall season started on October 1. The most popular among Muscovites were Izmailovsky Park, Bitsevsky Forest and Toparyovsky Forest Park. 290, 259 and 209 new seedlings were planted there.

In honor of the birth of girls, 1,644 trees were planted, and 732 trees for boys.

The project was supported by leading Russian celebrities. The stars starred in original videos in support of the campaign.

Among them are the Russian singer, poetess and composer Irina Dubtsova and the popular singer Stas Piekha, honored artists, film and theater stars Olga Kabo and Dmitry Dyuzhev, as well as the famous TV presenter Dmitry Dibrov.

Olga Kabo shared her own experience of raising her son and admitted that she has long been in search of suitable methods for developing eco-awareness among younger family members: “This is a separate, very important topic, which, in the pursuit of knowledge and good grades for children, parents often forget.” , Kabo noted. The actress said that they practice a responsible approach to nature with the whole family: in the Kabo house they sort waste, do not use plastic bags, and consider long leisurely walks in the forest or park to be the most pleasant leisure time.

Dmitry Dyuzhev suggested thinking about how to pass on the right eco-habits through generations. A family tree is ideal for this, the actor believes: “This is a real priceless heritage, with the memory of the roots and aspirations upward.”

The Dyuzhev family joined the action of the Moscow Government: the actor, along with his wife and son Vanya, planted two willows. “This is our first seedling in Moscow. We want to take responsibility for the life of the tree, monitor and care for it in order to call it ours, family.

So that in the future the grandchildren can come and remember that grandfather Dima and grandmother Tanya made their personal contribution to the improvement of Moscow,” the actor shared. You can monitor the condition of the new seedling together directly through the participant’s electronic account or visit him in the park.

If the plant becomes sick, specialists will carefully replace it in the coming fall.

Stas Piekha believes that eco-thinking is useful not only on a household scale, but also on an entire city scale.

After all, every new tree, on the one hand, improves air quality, and on the other, makes the metropolis more beautiful. “The more people there are, the more beautiful trees and clean air there will be in our city.

Therefore, I am with both hands and feet “for” such a kind and honest project as “Our Tree,” the singer admitted.

The environmental agenda often requires the implementation of long-term strategies at the state level, but residents of the capital also have the opportunity to improve the environment around them.

Irina Dubtsova called on Muscovites to act here and now within their own capabilities - for the benefit of nature and the city: “You don’t have to wait for anyone, you just need to take it and do it - plant trees and take care of them, if you have such a desire.

After all, helping is not only simple, but also useful,” said the artist.

Dmitry Dibrov also supported the action in the Russian capital and noted that the actions of each family are directly related to the global status of the metropolis: “If every parent takes part in this action, then our city will turn into the green capital of the world!” Miss Russia 2017 Polina Dibrova supported her husband and published the video on her Instagram page. Video messages from the stars are available on the social networks of the Moscow Department of Natural Resources @eco.mos.

The scale of the “Our Tree” campaign will expand significantly in 2020 - the city has prepared 25,000 trees and areas in 25 parks for planting. Any family where at least one parent is officially registered in Moscow, and the baby was born no earlier than January 1, 2019, can join the project. To do this, you need to register, select a place for planting, as well as a type of tree on the promotion website.

Then all that remains is to wait for the next autumn season - this is the most favorable time for the growth of new seedlings. On the cherished day, the campaign’s specialists will provide the necessary equipment for parents, help to plant the tree correctly, and will also continue to monitor its health in subsequent years. More than 1,000 spaces for future family trees have already been reserved.

Hurry up to take part in the promotion!

Campaign “Our Tree”: how to make Moscow green for future generations

At the initiative of the Moscow Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, “Our Tree” is taking place in the capital - an event that unites family traditions and concern for nature.

Russian stars Olga Kabo, Stas Piekha, Dmitry Dyuzhev, Irina Dubtsova and Dmitry Dibrov recorded a video about why every child in Moscow should have a tree.

Applications for landings in 2020 are now open.

At the “Our Tree” campaign, which started in April 2019, Muscovites were able to join in greening the city with the whole family. The project gives young parents the opportunity to plant a personalized tree for free in honor of the birth of their child.

The goal of the action is to improve the environmental situation in Moscow and popularize a “green” lifestyle among city residents of all ages. Applications for tree planting for autumn 2019 were accepted until July 31, 2019. The number of participants exceeded 2000 people.

The first named trees appeared in Moscow this fall. Leading Russian stars have joined the green movement. Among them are Russian singer, poetess and composer Irina Dubtsova and popular singer Stas Piekha, honored artists, film and theater stars Olga Kabo and Dmitry Dyuzhev, and famous TV presenter Dmitry Dibrov.

Especially for the “Our Tree” project, celebrities recorded five original videos about the global significance of eco-education for the younger generation. The videos clearly and interestingly show how to attract the youngest city dwellers to care about the environment from early childhood.

Russian singer, poetess and composer Irina Dubtsova and popular singer Stas Piekha emphasized the importance of environmental erudition for the formation of a correct worldview and raising children. They noted that planting new trees will not only develop a sense of responsibility for “your” maple or oak, but will also make the city more beautiful.

Famous TV presenter Dmitry Dibrov reflected on environmental family values and showed how a simple tree becomes a tool for creating a metropolis of the future for each of us.

In his video message, actor Dmitry Dyuzhev noted that, together with culture and science, forests and parks will become the best legacy for the new generation. That is why planting family trees can become a real national tradition.

Actress Olga Kabo is sure that giving a child a tree is a sure way to teach kids to pay attention to nature.

Families where at least one parent is officially registered in Moscow will be able to choose a tree for their baby. You can submit an application within three years from the date of birth of the baby (no earlier than January 1, 2019) on the promotion website.

An interactive map will help you choose the appropriate location for your family tree and its species. This season, rowan, linden, maple, pine, willow, oak, apple, spruce, or pear are available. You can plant a tree in any of the capital’s 27 natural parks. Among them are “Bitsevsky Forest”, “Troparevsky Forest Park”, “Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo”, “Moskvoretsky”, “Valley of the Setun River”, “Izmailovo”, “Kuzminki-Lublino” and others.

When the tree and location are selected, you need to fill out an electronic application. It will be reviewed and approved within 7 working days. After this, all that remains is to wait for the next autumn season - this is the most favorable time for the growth of new seedlings.

On the cherished planting day, the campaign’s specialists will provide the equipment parents need, help plant the tree correctly, and also continue to monitor its health in subsequent years.

An official certificate of the plant with its exact coordinates will be sent to the applicant’s electronic account. There you can track the condition of the plant.

If it becomes ill, specialists will carefully replace the seedling next fall.

Each tree planted at the event not only creates pleasant memories for the whole family, but also supports the ecology of the city. The number of participants in the action is growing. Tree planting for applications approved from August 1, 2019 to July 31, 2020 will begin in the fall of 2020. Currently, about 1,000 applications have been submitted for 2020.

The idea of the “Our Tree” program in honor of newborns

The idea of planting trees in honor of the birth of a child belongs to the Levchishin couple Alexey and Anastasia, who work as volunteers at the headquarters of Sergei Sobyanin. According to the plan, the tree is a symbol of new life, similar to the “Tree of Love” that newlyweds plant in honor of their wedding. According to Alexey Levchishin, this idea appeared during numerous requests from citizens to increase green spaces.

According to the volunteers, young parents, having received a special certificate for planting trees, will be able to independently choose a place where they will be happy to come.
